What's the difference between the scuba diving locations: Lanzarote, Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh?

Good Question!!! Our point of view is outlinned below.
Lanzarote
Lanzarote has higher overall standards in public areas, restaurants and bars, and you are not hassled by local people. Diving in Lanzarote offers easy access to all types of diving (boat, shore, wreck, drop-offs, caverns, etc) although shore diving is most common. The groups are smaller and dive sites less crowded. The water is 2 oC to 3 oC cooler than the Red Sea , and has less hard coral and less variety of colour, although the diving is still fantastic.
Dahab
Diving in Dahab is mainly from shore. The marine life is similar to that of Sharm el Sheikh, and a little more varied and colourful than Lanzarote. Home to the famous dives the Blue Hole and Canyon, Dahab used to be a hippy town, is still being developed and is very laid back. It is a lot smaller than Sharm el Sheikh, you are not hassled as much (to buy things), and we do organise day boats to dive in the Straits of Tiran.
Sharm el Sheikh
Mainly day boat diving or liveaboards. You can complete the National Geographic courses here. Sharm el Sheikh has easy access to world famous hard coral reefs like those in Ras Mohammed national park (Shark and Yolanda reef) and the Straits of Tiran (Jackson, Thomas and Woodhouse reefs). You are more likely to see larger sharks (reef, hammerheads, nurse) and Manta rays in the Summer in Sharm el Sheikh. It is crowded with divers creating a buzzy, lively atmosphere.
